Brentwood School is firing Employees to prevent Union Certification

BRENTWOOD, CA (May 16, 2026) — Bentwood School Workers Union filed a petition with Brentwood School indicating support for unionization of employees of the School. After Brentwood School received the petition indicating a majority support for joining the Union, Brentwood School started firing employees in what they are calling a layoff. However, at the same time the School is planning to hire for those same job duties and telling employees they need to reapply for the “new” positions.
